I meet a lot of people who love traveling. Especially among my coworkers it's a
recurring event to visit faraway places like Japan or Europe. During these trips, they'll try
to make the most out of their travel and experience as much as possible.
However, it's always shocking for me to hear that they've never visited the landmarks all around us.
The curiosity they bring abroad is often dulled at home, where familiarity disguises wonder.
Maybe what separates the “extraordinary” from the mundane is just perspective and a plane ticket.
Lately, I've tried to apply this idea into my own life.
I've spent nearly 90% of my life living in California, yet it feels like there's always more to see.
This page is dedicated to some of my favorite places throughout those years.
Hopefully this can serve as a reminder that there are experiences to be had anywhere.
All you need is to keep your mind (and eyes) open!
